Adults
Adulthood can bring complexity: anxiety, low mood, relationships, parenting, grief, identity shifts, or the emotional weight of separation and divorce. Many adults come to therapy feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward, even when they’re functioning well on the outside.
I work with adults who want a space to slow down, reflect, and make sense of what they’re carrying. Therapy with me is collaborative, respectful, and down-to-earth, without judgment or pressure to have it all figured out.
How I work with adults
I draw on psychodynamic work to understand the patterns underneath, like why the same conflicts keep coming up or why certain feelings hit so hard. When it helps, I use CBT to examine thought patterns that may be keeping you stuck and to build practical tools you can use right away.
Men’s issues
Many men were never taught how to talk about what they feel. I work with men dealing with anger, stress, and relationship challenges, at a pace that feels manageable. Exploring your feelings in therapy can help you make choices that fit who you want to be.
Separation and divorce
Divorce, especially a high-conflict one, can take over your life. I help adults manage the stress, co-parent more effectively, and look after themselves through the process. I have extensive experience working with children whose parents have separated and can offer an important perspective for parents navigating a separation.
Parents
Parenting can be overwhelming. I offer a space for parents to work on their own stress, reactions, and well-being, separate from their child’s needs. Whatever your child is going through, taking care of your own well-being is essential to showing up for them.
Scheduling
I offer daytime sessions online throughout California, as well as in person in Rockridge.
